RFP for wildfire defense project involving stand-scale forest management treatments on private lands in Larimer County, Colorado. The project aims to reduce wildfire risk, improve forest health, and protect communities. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for July 8, 2026. Questions are due by July 10, 2026, and proposals are due by July 15, 2026, submitted electronically via the Bidnet portal. Work must be completed by June 30, 2029. Contractors must have proven experience, necessary licenses, and adequate machinery/workforce. Evaluation criteria include partnership, technical capability, cost reasonableness, and availability. All cut material must be removed from the project area by the contractor.
All work under this RFP must be complete by June 30, 2029.
A 10% retainer will be withheld from each payment until the project is satisfactorily completed, closed out, and rehabilitated. Payments are contingent upon receipt of an invoice and certification of satisfactory completion. Contractor may submit a maximum of two invoices per payment unit.
Proposals will be evaluated on partnership, technical capability, cost reasonableness, and availability. The lowest bid does not necessarily get awarded the contract.
Contractors must have a proven track record of successful completion of similar projects within the past five years, possess all necessary licenses, and have the machinery and workforce to perform woody biomass reduction, removal, and/or hauling services.
If any amount of forest products that contractor was required to remove remain on site after the removal deadline, **** per day will be subtracted from the retainer until all forest products are removed.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for July 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM MDT. RSVP is required by July 1, 2026.
